Comments

This is a direct transfer from 20 year old first generation recording on a pair of good old TDK AD cassettes. The transfer was from tape deck (Aiwa AD-F800) to Audio CD recorder, then EAC to WAV to FLAC.

This was a very hot gig - sweat was dripping from the ceiling!! There were concerns that the Marquee had oversold the gig on one of the hottest days of the summer.

2 new songs were included in the set, Magic Roundabout (going under a temporary name giving the title to this release) which had been played occasionally before, and The Thousand Days which got it's debut.

The first encore "Barbell" was pre-announced to be targetted for a subsequent 12" EP release following a forthcoming studio session in Glasgow (cava studios).

IQ played a number of Marquee headlines during 1984 and included a cover as one of the encores for most of them - this night was no different with a rendition of Frankie Goes To Hollywood's chart topper "Relax"being the choice.
